When a storage volume is in the disabled state, it cannot be used. To make it available again, you need to enable it. Typically, you would enable a volume when you are happy that your projects and workstation profiles are set up and working properly, and that your storage is allocated to your studio appropriately.
To enable a storage volume:
- Log in to SimpleCloud as a studio owner or studio manager. Only these users have the permissions to enable a volume.
- Select Studio.
- Select the studio you want to change, and then select Manage Studio.
- Select Storage to display the storage volumes list. It contains a list of the volumes that have been allocated to the studio you selected.
- Select the volume you want to enable. (This has to be a volume that is currently disabled, which is indicated by a gray status icon).
- Select Enable.
SimpleCloud will change the status of the volume so that it is enabled and can be used again. There may be a delay between the time you select enable and when the volume actually becomes enabled again. This is because the volume has to be prepared for storage again.
When the volume is ready for use, it will appear with a green status icon in the storage volumes list.
