User groups can have "parent and child" relationships with other user groups. These are usually defined when the user groups are created, but you can change them if needed.


If you need to change these relationships, edit the group:

  1. Log in using a Studio Owner or a Studio Manager account.
  2. On the Dashboard, select Studio to display the Studio page.

  3. Select the studio and then select Manage Studio.

  4. Select Team to display a list of the team members that have access to your studio.

  5. Select the Groups tab.

  6. Select the group that you want to change. SimpleCloud displays the group's settings.

  7. To change the relationship with a parent group, select the Member Of section and either:
    • Drag and drop a group from the Available Groups section into the Member Of section to add the group as a new parent


    • Select X to remove the existing parent from the Member Of section.

  8. To change the relationship with a child group, select the Children Groups section and either:
    • Drag and drop a group from the Available Groups section into the Children Groups section to add it as a child
    • Select X to remove an existing child from the Children Groups section.

  9. Select Update.
